Pitch Size at new stadium?
Does anyone know what the dimensions of the new pitch will be at the OS?

The Boleyn was one the smallest pitches in the Premiership at

110 yards x 70 yards. (2013)

Man City the largest 116.5 yards x 78 yards.

The maximum dimensions 130 yards x 100 yards

What should we go for to suit our style?
What are we getting?

In 1911 (ted remembers it well), we drew ManU in the FA Cup, at home.

The cheeky bastards sent down a man to measure our pitch before the match, and he was disappointed to find that it was big enough.

We then knocked them out.

I think we were the last non-League club to put them to the sword in the FA Cup.

So the pitch should be 130 yards long, 25 yards wide, and we can heighten the roof by another 400 feet?

We should employ a cricket groundsman to prepare a pitch for swerve whenever Payet plays.

Not sure that's true, you can only change the dimensions of the pitch one the season has started by applying to the PL fist, and I would guess you'd need valid reasons for doing so. I would imagine they always had a narrow home pitch, which also would've helped with long throws into the box from the likes of Delap.

I recall Stoke used to change the width of their pitch depending on who they were playing. i.e. If a decent footballing team were travelling up to Stoke, they made the pitch narrower.

The LLDC will decide on the size of the GRASS. Bilic will decide on the size of the markings on the grass, which constitutes the PITCH.

According to official site....
The pitch will be five metres longer and four metres wider than the Boleyn Ground, identical to the size of Wembley

UEFA/ FIFA standard which is 105 × 68 I think. You can have it wider and longer but then you'd have be playing on both grass and fully synthetic on the bits that overlap the running track.

Re: Pitch Size at new stadium?
FIFA state that max is 120x80yds and min 110x70.

Pitch size will increase along with goal posts I assume, could be good news for our strikers who can't seem to find the net.

Aren't we supposed to be standardising to UEFA specs?

Size of the Football pitch will be down to Bilic.

Spot on, the manager chooses the dimensions of the pitch (within the parameters) based on the style of football he wants to play at home.

LLDC chooses it? Laughable comment.

The size of the pitch is down to the LLDC. We are only the tenants.

Why would the landlords determine the size of the pitch, they are the landlords not the groundsmen?

Having read the article (thanks Charley)

105 m x 68 m (115 yds x 74 yds ) looks likely

Considerably bigger than Boleyn

Will it suit?
